any body ever chop up cucumbers and can them that way went to try that way this got to be great on hot dog and burgers not a relish

I always quarter the cukes when I make kosher dills hot pack. Don't see why chopping them up wouldn't work.

Interesting, I never hot pack my pickling products, it's always cold pack.
Packed jars cold, and add the hot brine.

I like slices along with whole or quartered spears.
All in separate jars of course.

I slice all my cucs for pickles, dill or bread and butter. I have made sweet and dill relish with shredded uchhinni for several years. Works well and tastes good. I do freezer dills and seal in pints so I can keep them almost a a year that way.
