Anyone got some home remedy to combat these things ??

Yarrow plants are planted with the mater...to bring in the parisitic wasp.

It's working somewhat...

Don't want to use any chemicals.

What's Yah got ??? ...and thanks

I just hand pick them off. Bought a black light flashlight which are supposed to be good for spotting them after dark.

As a kid I learned to spot them and pick them off. Great fishing bait at the local pond in those days. Look for their turds on the leaves and then it is like looking for Ginseng. Look for the green worm pattern with the horn. With a little practice you will be as good as me on spotting them smile

Yep, that is what I would recommend. A heavy dose and everyday for about 3 to 4 days. Spray everything around those targeted plants.

Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime

Get some BT. Bacillus thuringiensis. The garden center SHOULD have it. It's an organic that kills the cabbage worm and hornworms, etc.

Handpick or Bt

Bt goes by DiPel, Thuricide, and Bt and can be found in dust, liquid or wettable powders. It is a naturally occurring soil bacteria in a more concentrated form. Used in a wide assortment of products. Bt is the active in mosquito dunks that so put in standing water. There is even a form approved for use inside beehives for use against wax moths.

It is a gut poison targeting the larval stages of leptodopterian insects, butterfly/moth.

I started finding the little ones when I started using the UV flashlight at night. They are there. They grow fast though so dont stay small very long.

I've trailed them across a tomato plant by their leavings, saying they grow fast is almost an understatement.
