What are those jeeps you can buy a kit and assemble it. Anyone have one or do you have any knowledge of them.

End of WWII US factories had produced a surplus of jeeps all crated up ready for delivery. Most got sold off as surplus and are long gone. Jeeps overseas or enroute by boat often got tossed over board.

There is a dealer a little over an hour from me. I've seen them driving by and read quite a bit about them. If I was in the market for an oversized side by side (I'm not) they would be the route I would go. Smaller and cheaper than some of the new side by sides, and you are going to get a heckuva lot more miles on them. The diesel motor is supposed to get really good mileage, but I don't know how it is for starting in real cold weather. You can get them licensed in Montana to drive on the highways as a street legal vehicle. Of course here you can drive them on the roads as a side by side legally, but not out of state. From my understanding a number of people in other states title and license them in Montana, because it is fairly easy to do and then other states have to honor that.

I tried licensing one of the used Japanese Suzuki mini-pickups but the wheelbase isn't allowable to be licensed on the road.

Life ain't supposed to be easy.

When I was a kid in the mid 50's nearly every comic book had an ad in the back for them. Now relegated to an urban legend, long with Quanset huts and sea monky's. LOL

I agree with all you have said. The diesel 4 cylinder with proper oil changes and regular maintenance are suppose to get 200 to 300K miles on that engine. Very economical is what I have heard. In my opinion and talked to one guy that has one they are way better than his side
x side. He said maintenance and engines etc. not last very long and always something to fix on them he would never own another side/side.

I believe the Roxor are stamped out in India from old WW ll dies not sure if they built them during the war or acquired the dies after the war read that back when I was looking at them. Built well but expensive to get it way you might want it to be finished.

Some current deals going on now it you’re serious about one.
