We had a little thunderhead roll through about noon and had two boomers. One hit on the hill above the house and started a fire, we now have four scooper planes and a helicopter dumping water. It is a little breezy and very dry so we were worried for a while but they seem to have a handle on it now. It is nice to live a mile from the river, the planes are making a drop every 8 to 10 minutes.

Well good, we where just over in the silver valley and rode wheelers and picked huckelberries.
And yes very dry around there also.
Be safe in the woods for sure.

Let me sugar coat this

Here in central Pa you could not start a forest fire in the last few weeks. Rain every few days and today was one of them.....jk

I had 2 trees hit here by lightning 3 days ago. It didn't even occur to me they could start a forest fire Our area is wet enough, I've never seen a woods burn. I have seen some grass fires in late Summer and once during the Winter. I've never seen a grass fire cause any damage here.
