Looking for reviews for a portable 15 or 25 gallon tank sprayer that would fit in a lawnmower cart or atv.
I see there is Fimco and County line at tractor supply. But online reviews aren't always truthful.
I need actual reviews from folks that have used them
Really don't want to spend more then $300. But need a reliable tank, pump. Yes, maintenance such as washing the tank out after use is necessary.
Need your recommendations.

Thanks, Sarge

I have had good luck with Fimco sprayers.

I have both the 15 and 25 gallon Fimco spot sprayers. I like them, and parts are readily available at TSC or online. If you run diesel through them as a surfactant and brush killer with herbicide make sure to rinse it out thoroughly with water and then followed by a solution of 1% ammonia. Glyphosate will also eat on the pumps, but if you run water through them after each use they seem to last.

The biggest issue I have with all my sprayers is forgetting to winterize them. Running some RV antifreeze through them prior to freezing really helps maintain the pump and fittings.

Also, the usual part to fail quickly on these sprayers is the pressure switch, but it is an easy work around, just hard wire it in around the pressure switch.

It seems I need a new pump every year but they are not expensive and are easy to change. When not in use limit sun exposure to UV that will eat them up if left outside exposed to sunlight. Adjustable spray tip allows for misting or shooting a stream for longer distances. Here I use the wind to cover large areas I want to cover .

I’m happy with the one I have and just got a second one so I’m covered.

You can a low cost pump with a 4 year warranty that's safe to run dry I have one of those. I've used it for a variety of things and ist still going. I think this is its 3rd season.

nice spray wands are cheap too.
so if the tank doesn't leak, what else is there?

I disconnect the pump and store it in the basement over the winter to keep from freezing and cracking.

I have a Master garden sprayer. It had a rechargeable battery that eventually failed. I just tote a small 12 volt lawnmower battery around for power. I would guess it to be about 8 years old. I put it in the basement in the winter. Never recall rinsing it despite running both 24D , Bleach and Round Up the pump has not given me any trouble. I have replaced the wand once .

I believe it holds about 8 gallons.

I’ve had a 25 gallon Fimco for 20 some years. Finally had to install a new pump 2 years ago. Good unit
