I miss the Sleepy Creek #3 DLS- the perfect exposed set trap for spots.

1.75 Northwoods square jaw. IMO one of the best fox traps.

Monty large high lever coils. I toured their shop.
But for this dream I'd like to run a few dozen of
the newer models.

I know Macthediver would say the Victor #1 1/2 double jaw, and I would second that.

What was special about that trap? I'm not doubting you, I've just never seen one and I'm curious.

Another vote for the B&L 44 DLS. I had a chance to buy a pile of them in 1979 but was a poor college student at the time. They were ridiculously cheap but they may as well have been a thousand dollars a trap at the time.

Trail cameras and fresh snow have broke a lot of trapper’s hearts.

Victor #11 LS. I’ve caught everything I can catch in my part of the country in them.

BMI are the strongest springs of any bodygrip I’ve ever seen. First time I ever saw one was at an Illinois convention,, there were a few guys who were standing around trying to set a BMI 220 by hand.. being young and cocky,, I walked over to show them how it’s done,,, because I used to set bodygrips by hand all the time…
Welp , the joke was on me.

I’m not sure why BMI went out of business,, because they were top notch traps as far as the bodygrip goes.

Did BMI go out of business permanently? I ordered 3 dozen 110 Mags and 3 dozen 55 mags from them about two years ago and had no problems talked directly to a young lady who took care of the order. at BMI.

I liked my Northwoods traps. The thing is I still have all that I purchased 40 plus years ago. Plus I have picked up a few more.
