checked trapes this morning and had this killer. [Linked Image]

So far only 2 opossum after my daughter's pigeon was killed. one the day after at the loft and one up at dad's in a box trap I set for him for groundhog he saw go under the deck. I struggle a rgb at the fresh digging at the barn this morning.

I didn't thin it was possum tah got the bird but now after sever days and no coon or other critters I'm thinking I was wrong about that.

Many years ago I had a chicken a day getting killed. I couldn't figure out how whatever it was was getting in. Was starting to think it must have been something like a weasel or mink as I saw no way a coon could get in. By the end of two weeks I had a slew of traps... boxes and foot traps set outside the pen and had caught nothing. One day I was inside the run. The coop and run were attached to our barn-like garage. Anyways, there was a block or something sitting near the wall of the barn and I happened to walk by and glance behind it and saw a hole! There was a hole going from the run to under the barn, that I had not seen because it was blocked from sight by that block. I fenced the chickens out of part of the run and set a foot trap in front of the hole. The next day I had the tiniest, scraggliest looking possum you ever saw in that trap. He couldn't have weighed 5 lbs if that. I killed it but never thought that little thing could have done all that killing. However, the killing stopped that night, and never resumed. I thought that was crazy at the time, and this just reminded me of it.

Proudly banned from the NTA.

Bother me tomorrow. Today I'll buy no sorrows.

Good story, Angela. Its always where we least expect , or look the last.

My rabbits would have all been in that cage ! Smiling at me expecting treats for their hard work of going in there grin

I just pulled in to unload the boys lawn equipment and that little stinker was back in there locked in looking at me.

I don't know if it liked the cherry cool aid coated marshmallows but assuming so they are gone. I didn't know rabbits would eat them.

Great story yotetrapper30 maybe I'm not crazy after all and it was that possum. A few year ago i planted 3 planting of corn and got maybe 6 ears total. I just knew it was coon. But . Now like a kid at x mass I can't wait to go check the rbg and see it it holding a groundhog up at the barn. It's using 3 holes I only had one trap up there. Kids have shot more of them this year than ever before.

Well at least I'm down one ground hog from the trap I set this morning. It was a small female no telling if it's one moving in or one of a litter.
