I am installing a 300w pure sine wave inverter in my camper. The wire I bought (because it is the lowest GA that will go into the connectors) is 8GA. It figures out to .006 ohms at 10 feet. Do you think this is an acceptable amount of resistance?

Wiring size for invertors isn't really about resistance, it's about current carrying capacity (amps). A tiny little 18 gauge wire will probably measure out to about the same resistance with an ohmmeter as your 8 gauge wire, but of course wouldn't work because it can't carry the current.

That being said, 300w at 12v is 25 amps, and 8 gauge wire will carry that just fine.

Cool. I put the rig together to see how it would go and one of the lugs broke off in the snug position, so I am stuck with the 8ga whether I would have liked it or not. I like it based upon what loosegoose said.Thank you for your support.
