So was checking the quail today and noticed out rooster walked a little funny .Not in a bad way or anything just a little odd , but he's always kinda did that along but he's always been really active running. Around , mounting the hens and stuff so never thought much of it....well he got close and I grabbed in just to see he only has one dang foot !

No leaving puss or anything completely healed over and he don't act any different when I poke it so idk if this was a bird defect or what . I mean other then that lil guy looks to be in great health from everything I'm reading

He's likely not going to be able to breed the females well, even though he's clearly trying. If birds get injured, they frequently lose limbs cleanly at a joint. I would cull him, unless you just like having him around.

I cull males hard because I only need 1 for every 3.5 hens.

I have ducks that loose feet to turtles every year, they get along fine.

Just the right amount of whelm.

See my question is does that affect eggs production? Don't really care about them being fertilized right now since we haven't set up for incubation and brooding yet

The hens will lay whether males are present or not. Many people, who don't want to hatch eggs, keep only female quail, ducks, geese and chickens. 14 hours or more of light, clean water, a decent layer ration, age of the bird, stress level of the bird and health of the bird are what's important to laying.
