had to take my wife to the ER last night due to a 7mm kidney stone that dislodged and was stuck in her left ureter. never had one but two of my brothers have and they are as tough as they come as is my bride. the woman in the reception area was about as rude and lacked zero compassion. They didnt follow their own protocol for prioritizing patients. Secondly after sitting in the lobby for about 50 minutes they took her back. got vitals. then sent us to a restroom behind the locked ER room entry for a urine sample. we get in there and there is dried blood smeared all over the toilet seat, blood spattered under the seat, all in the toilet bowl, on the floor, on the wall under the toilet paper dispenser and on the toilet paper sitting out. So we had to improvise and use the trash can as a backup in the event she urinated more than that cup held. I got her back to the room and proceeded to go right back to that restroom and took pictures of that mess.
then, while sitting in the room waiting on them to put the IV in, I noticed blood droplets all over the floor, an the gurney, on the wall.......
WTH, they move her to another room. same exact thing in that room. matter of fact the first two rooms they took her to we had to exit immediately as there was used medical equipment, bloody gauze, bloody sheets etc. still on the gurneys and trays. I am thinking, is this not the year 2025. My mother ran the old county hospital here in the county where we live. I can still remember the older ladies that cleaned and took care of that stuff. Those halls and rooms, the ER and everything was always spotless. And they wouldnt go home if it got busy and they were needed and would come in without hesitation if they were needed.
I guess those days have long since past.

Was there a 3 car ..head on accident ,while you were waiting.
Nevah seen any thing close to that.
And a kidney stone will drop you to your knees
It is better to die on your feet than to live on your knees.

Blood is easy to spot. It even florescents under a good UV light.
Can you imagine what you could not see , but would grow quickly in a Petrie dish ?
Lots of people get infections just by visiting a hospital that is not cleaned properly.
For what they charge now a days , that area should be cleaner than being able to eat off the floor. No excuses.

I would have called the health department.
Common sense is a not a vegetable that does well in everyone's garden.

Call the CDC, blood is a biohazard. I hope you at least told the floor RN. Waste of time. You want to raise a stink they'll care about find out what accreditation outfit they use. Good chance it's either Joint Commission or CMS. There's some others. County health department or State department if you want legal problems

Staph infection's kill no telling how many now days in nasty hospitals. Doctor's are goofy as all get out too, we're pretty much on our own now with health issue's. They rake in billions now for substandard service. You would be better off in a mexican hospital!
Not my circus, not my clowns.

Just another side note on hospitals. After the Biden jab mandate, hospitals lost a lot of staffing. It was so bad around here, they had the national guard filling in as housekeeping and some nursing for hospitals. And many hospitals, especially smaller, more rural hospitals, still haven't recovered from the "Great Resignation" caused by the jab mandate. There is a major shortage of medical personnel.
Eh...wot?

Sorry for your experience. I hope your wife is feeling better! All service industries are in trouble now. Need workers who will in order to in force procedures. Obama care turned hospitals into a shell of them selves. Then Covid. Have a daughter who is in her last semester of nursing school. Horrible the stories she shares.
