I find it weird that people who generally are against government control cheer for this particular kind of government control. Especially for some one who is loved by his community. Charlie Manson was loved by his community. Jim Jones was loved by his community. This preacher is no Charlie Manson, nor a Jim Jones, but he is still ridin dirty, and if leading by example, is encouraging others to do the same.

You admit you took scripture out of context and now you want to defend the degree to which you took it out of context? The only part of questionable context is who he was addressing. But the part that isn't , is what he used to drive it home in a way that everyone in the room understood. Use the gate. Everyone there, " Oh, yeah he has a point . ". Everyone understands that. I've served alongside with folks who immigrated by way of using the gate. Many of them consider border jumpers to be thieves. I can't say as I disagree.

That pastor of all people should know that and accept accountability. Civil disobediance only comes into play when edict requires disobediance to God and even then consequences apply while trusting that God will provide.
The apostle Paul was arrested and brought before Felix where God provided. Paul ultimately excerised his right to appeal to the emporor and still God provided.
As Sharon said, that pastor had plenty of time to change his status, but he chose not to. Rep. Delia Ramirez -D, "I'm a proud Guatemalan before I'm an American". Then she needs to move back to Guatemalan. She sounds like a Trojan Horse to me.
We are living in a world where the intelligent must be quiet so that the no common sense people won't be offended.
