Anybody in south Texas have any idea why the diesel trucks are so cheap? Is it just supply? I am looking at a 2023 GMC Denali for $47k in Brownsville. I Found the exact truck here but a 2020 with 3x the miles for $54k. What in the world, 3 years newer 1/3 of the miles for 7 grand less?!

I called the dealer in Brownsville and it is legit or they are really good scammers. I thought maybe it was a 2wd Texas truck, but it’s 4x4. Thought maybe they messed up the listing online and it was actually a gasser, it’s a diesel. Okay, definitely a salvage title or flood truck? Nope. Then they said they can ship it here for less than $1500.

Anybody have any idea how this is possible? I want to pull the trigger on it but it seems too good to be true.

Might as well try to figure out why when you ask your wife what time she wants to eat lunch she talks for twenty minutes and you still don't know what time.

Update: so I called the local ford dealer there that shared the same name. They told me the website was essentially trying to make it look like they were the used car lot for the Ford dealer and that it was a scam. Go figure. I will say I was impressed with how good they were, they almost had me, scammers are getting smarter. I then looked at the address of the used car dealership on google street view. Apparently the dealership is operating out of a catholic church grin

I go as far as I can until I have to give my name. Then I always tell the Michael Jackson.

www.tiptonautosale.com —-in case anyone wants to see how good the scammers are getting.

Update, the sales guy called me back to see if I was going to start the paperwork. I said “well, can you facetime with me and walk around the vehicle?”. He responds with “I have a personal emergency I will call you back!!”

An hour later, the other “sales guy” calls me and says he has a video. I told him I’d like to facetime, he responds with “oh ok, I’ll send the video but I just got back to the office, I’ll facetime with you next time I’m out in the lot, in the meantime, please fill out our in house financing”.

I respond with: “actually, I am going to fly down there and drive it home”. He hangs up.

Having way too much fun with this.
