That’s someone else’s garden WD.

Not hers.

Better get to building. Stop climbing trees and worrying about pigs and deer and get after her garden and critter pens.

Stop over cooking your meat! It isn’t gamey, it’s over cooked!

Rabbits are a great source of cheap meat, a good source of income and a great source of fertilizer.

I recommend planting fruit trees, bushes and vines as soon as possible and nut trees too. You can get a tremendous amount of food and produce to sell, once they are established, with not a whole lot of work.

I'll say it . . . "animal husbandry" generally is short lived by young and inexperienced people. . . especially if one is away for any period of time . . . experience is a strenuous teacher . . . good luck Wolfie with your and Wifey's endeavors . . .

Um....... That's one kinda ye ole term for hobby farming or something? Been raising various live stock basically my entire life . Moved to the more alternative styles because there way less time and labor intensive in the long run for what we want

I love petting my rabbits. And they love being petted too. Rex rabbits have velvet fur. Amazingly soft.

I also love rabbit meat. Among my most favorite pick of protein.

Goat milk is the best. I used to milk Saanen and Nubians for a neighbor. I got fresh milk in gallon jars all the time. It did have a bit of cream at the top. The Saanens were the best in milk , to me. I loved that milk quality so much. They didn't eat weeds, they were fed hay and sweet feed . So the milk was top notch.

Rabbit meat is SO good. We used to order off a place called Blue Ridge, co workers would all pick things out so we got free shipping, then Covid came and prices went through the roof!

Champagne D'Argent rabbits make beautiful fur garments. Here's some of mine.

Chinchilla rabbits make beautiful fur garments too.

Like Sharon mentioned, Red rabbits have the softest coats. They don't have any of the guard hairs.

White rabbits, such as most New Zealands are easy to dye.

Right now, you can buy meat pen, fair rabbits for about 55 to 80 cents a pound.

The Champagne D'Argents are born black and start silvering as they mature. The same rabbit looks very different depending on the lighting.

Ok, just like some horse breeds do. Lippizaners are born solid black and turn snow white as they age.

I see so much blue in those rabbits. Especially the top one. Just like getting a blue phased wuff.

What a gorgeous coat or hat that colour would be.
