Last month I competed in the UffDa Strongman Challenge. the event was at the Sweet Rides and Sweet Pies car show in Westby, WI.
I knew I recognized the host from somewhere, didn't realize it was THE Dennis Gage of My Classic Car fame.
The opening log was 180#, the frame carry was 400#.
Sand bag was 30# over a 13 foot bar (I really need to practice that).
Car deadlift was 600#ish.
Car Hercules hold was a mental game.

What clan does your kilt represent ? Looks like a type of hunter design in colours.

I just got through studying a slew of tartan cloth from Scotland . There is a company based in Scotland that custom makes all sorts of items from the huge list of tartan cloth they offer. I wanted a wee bit of their great quality cloth , made and sent straight from them. I chose this tartan , after arduous decision making from several. Here's a shot of the shirt I ordered. It's called Munster, after the borough of Ireland.

I really like all the tartan plaids of colours that represent whole clans of populations.

The tartan is hunting McKenzie. That's my competition, knockaround acrylic kilt.

My dress kilt is the official tartan for the state if WI. That is wool, the "full" 8 nine yards, and hand sewn by yours truly. I'll try to dig up a picture.

Here's the only pic I have of my dress kilt. From several years ago, before I started strongman (I was skinny, LOL). The lighting sucks, its much more blue.

Yes I see the blue and green tones in the other shots. I did think it looked like a "hunting " design. I became acquainted with the hunting tones of many tartan name designs. Each one is different, with their own colours, but the hunting themes stand out to me.

Really like traditional clothing. Beautiful, and very livable.
