I live where 79 and 76 overlap in Western Pa. I am thinking about running a decent line this year and have the idea to take a boat down the Ohio river and trap close to the city of Pittsburgh. I am wondering if anyone is local and would maybe want to team up for a week and hit it hard. I’m a little timid to take on the river alone and think it would be fun. If anyone has any tips for big river trapping let me know. I was planning on running the banks using a lot of dog proofs and going up tributaries and setting for mink musrlat and beaver if there’s sign.

Been on and around the Allegheny all my life
but not owned a boat big enough for everyday
trips on the big rivers that time of year.

Tie all your gear up high on big trees. The water level changes a lot on big creeks.......jk
