Bigger the car/truck/SUV the more profit they make.

I feel the same at times about them not making cheap easy to work in(room to get to things) 4x4 trucks. RADIO, Ac, heat and maybe cup holders and bucket seats. Then a reall fantacy about being factory equipped with winches front and back lockers ect. something you can take to the car wash and presher wash the interior out without problems. BUT then I remember few people really want that, and most trucks are a grocery getting machine and won't hall or do truck work. Heck even guys that use their trucks want the bells. So I can't blaim the compan for making what sells.

Yup. The manufacturers know what will sell so that’s what they make.

I have an 05 Taco with 220,000 miles on it. Frame is completely gone. Otherwise I’d still drive it. Just dropped the insurance on it the other day. Not sure what I’m going to do with it.

Put a different frame under it. Car-Part.com. All kinds of them out there.

Nope, its the mfg's make what they make the most profit on. They leave you no choice on what you can buy.
They push you to buy more every year. More stuff added and the price keeps going up.

Yep, there are those foolish enough to pay well over $50K for a truck.
Something like only 16% of vehicle owners buy new vehicles.
That leaves alot of owners that won't or can't buy new.
Big market out there for cheaper and simpler but mfg's would rather sell one with a high profit than 4 with very little profit.

Honestly, todays pickups average over $50K. Don't you think a smaller simpler cheaper, around $20-25K truck would sell well?

It might, but if there was money to be made someone would be doing it, I think.

I don’t think the V8s were optional it’s all they offered for many years even when gas was crazy high. With the mini trucks they had a different customer kind of like Snowy and myself. Now they offer a midsize truck with only a 4 cylinder, again off base for many truck buyers but ok for some. Nice looking trucks with butt warmers looking at them is fine but not practical for my needs.

When gas was high and they would not sell 4 cyl mini trucks in the US it was for regulation reasons, the trucks they wouldn’t sell here have always been sold in other countries they never stopped selling/building them in other countries.

Nice thing about the west is not near the rust problem on older trucks, my '85 is still solid and runs, just not been using it as much because the bigger Tahoe is easier on me to drive now I'm crippin up
