Interesting collection of African culture . Am I seeing a lion's headdress of feathers the Masai warriors wore ? I have always liked those. A good way to show lion like bravery. And the spears , staff and shields too. Many people use a long staff for walking, toting balanced weight , and to stand resting, one foot raised , resting against the inside knee. A comfortable way of standing for periods of time.

What do you paint ? That magnifier headband, I have one exactly like it. Also the architect lamp. Acrylics ? Don't get the wood pegboard. Those brushes look well-used .

I like your decor. The only thing I would change, besides the stacked ovens, is I would trim, stretch and anchor the carpet.

I do watercolors, I do use an acrylic leather paint at times on some leather pieces . THe Masai headdresses are ostrich feathers primarily, the spears and shields are also period from the late 1800's to say first quarter 1900's. The Fiels Mueseum was always one of my favorite places so Now I got my own from online auctions where folks didn't know just what it was/is My collecting days ended when we had our first child, now it's their toys we bought. I use my jo ,Japanese 4' staff, as a walking stick now I'm needing some help walking, Fisrt trained with as a weapon , now it helps an old man, still has it's spirit though
The first picture is some leather work, in this case phone holster and the second is the kind of watercolor I do, nothing fancy, I do it so I can give my friends and family one for a Christmas card gift thing. I sell my other work but flatwork isn't my strong point, I just make stuff and hope folks like it enough I can make money for supplies, I did purly decorative art but marketing soured me so I just do functional art from edged steel, firearms, my primary training and career to leather and paper, it keeps me amused

I understand Japanese staffs. Really like them. In Okinawa Japanese martial arts, we used to use fighting staffs , superb ways of defense. The lowly janitor anywhere , shuffling along with their mops and brooms , truly hide what they can really do with those tools , when needed.

I carry a wooden staff on walks , 7 feet long , with a carved pointed end. A great multi use tool.

Art is done to be enjoyed. Not for money. Keep up your very nice talent.
