I’d take the Havalon over a beaver knife because I’m knife sharpening challenged but I can change a blade like a pro. I use wire hoops they take up less space, shape the pelts for me and dry with no issues never had any complaints using the hoops. A sharp fleshing knife is a must and well curved beam to go with it.
