I'm headed for Alaska on the 18th.There is always a squirrel problem. So do I need some type of Nonresident licence to legally trap them and take them back home. Might as well put them up and send them to the auction.

You will need a non-resident small game license, $60 US. No closed season no limit. Very different cost if you want to trap them. You can only purchase a combination Hunting/Trapping license for non-resident at he cost of $405 US. Alaska has no sperate non-resident trapping license.

Your two grandsons will be able to hunt,/trap but not you. So if you had 2 resident grandsons, why did you even ask the question Beav? Though i would be careful with using the grandsons. If "you" set or make sets, you could be charged with trapping without a license. Just saying and giving you free information. cause i don't know the age of your grandsons. Anyways have a great time with your grandsons and bringing all the money from squirrels to the bank.

I doubt that August caught squirrels have any fur value.

There Is a infestation on the property so we will deal with it. A few years ago me and the boys eliminated 82 in a few weeks.

Best bait for squirrels is a roll of fiberglass insulation...LOL
