I hate changing baits. Whole granny smiths hung off the back of the trap is my go-to when I can't set dens.

Find his hole, place a 160 conibear over it and you'll have this little so and so in a day or two.
I've caught 52 of them since 2015 on my small 1/4 acre property. They were eating my veggies too. Not anymore!
Bonus: You will occasionally catch possums and skunks too because they will use a woodchuck den.

I got 2 last year on the same coon bait I use in DPs

corn , kibble , fish oil , a bit of smoke oil.

put it in a can in the back of the live trap , both wood chuck went in to investigate and never made it back out

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

Caught 5 last year on cabbage leaves.

Cantaloupe is good bait also, apples if a tree is near by, same with pears.
Since you used watermelon scent, maybe watermelon rind would work.
