When do ya’ll start trapping? … got to be getting fairly close

High mountain guys out west are getting close. Most of the north don't start till mid October

Coyotes, foxes, weasels, skunk coon and possum start end of October. Mink n muskrat mid November.

Fisher and bobcat late December for a couple weeks
Beaver late Dec until March
Otter mid Feb for like a week but we don’t have a season for them in my region

Season for coon and fox usually come in around the middle of Oct. but that's A tad early for prime fur.
Rats and Mink come in Sat. before Thanksgiving.

When we're about 6.

I'll be starting the last week of October. Would like to wait a week or so, but weather and deer season can be troublesome.

Not til later Winter for us, after or around Thanksgiving. Most of our traps work after Christmas into Feb.

How late does your deer season run Savell?

October through the first week of January

… there’s some muzzle loader that runs a little later than that I believe…. But it’s spike only or something weird like that…. Not many people hunt it

I only get a couple weeks of rifle hunting. I'm going to have to come down and shoot a couple of your Texas deer.

I was trapping nuisance coons that were causing grief around a homestead. I quit when I saw sows that were nursing. I'll start back up probly October.
