Back in the 70's I had the book Pennsylvania Trapping and Predator Control Methods by Paul L Failor.

It was like a trapping bible to me at the time and I tried every set in it including the spring hole set described in the video you linked.

I had very little success with most of the sets and none with the spring hole set.

Back then red fox were considered the smartest, most wary critters on the planet, at least that's what the old trappers told us kids.

Today I know that's not true. Red fox are easy to catch and I catch 95% of them in one type of set. No need for a bunch of different novelty type sets that take forever to construct.

Eh...wot?

A lot of folks still think this.
