I have a potential job doing ADC work for coyotes here in west Texas. Ranch is 4000+ acres. Owner wants to set up something long term. I have always trapped in 30 day increments. Asking what you fellow trappers would feel a fair price would be for long term. Also keeping in mind the wear and tear on my equipment.

I would charge a "per day" rate. Are you in this to make a profit, or in it to be "fair" with the rancher? Like a guy told me one time, if you want "fair", it's mid-August on the east side of Des Moines, and they sell funnel cake and popcorn.

It would really depend on what the client’s expectations are, how far away the ranch is, and how much time you’re going to be spending there. And don’t forget opportunity cost. Opportunity cost stops most jobs like this immediately. If this job will take you away from your regular jobs, it has to pay you more.

Hourly rate, plus mileage and vehicle depreciation. Just a basic guideline to cover your realistic investment and skill set brought to the job.You can factor in other perks or requirements. Like stated, you need to discuss the clients expectations etc.. and what are the realistic expectations.
