Not sure where they go but the crew that hunts next door said they never saw a deer last season.

Most hunters of whitetails have one tactic. Hide and wait. Half hour before sunrise and half hour after sunset is the rule here. Deer are good hiders. All at once woods are full of humans. Deer are adaptable. They are good hiders. Already somewhat nocturnal. I have had deer 20 yards away watching me at night while wearing a headlamp, shining a tree with 2-3 dogs treed, making all kinds of racket.
