Tuesday in Nebraska three school bonds were voted on and they all failed by a 2-1 margin. Taxpayers have had it.
Life ain't supposed to be easy.

Happens here too, they just keep throwing at us till it's on a simple majority to pass instead of a 67% pass.

I wish here they would split the town budget and the school budget into separate votes like they do in some places. We only get one vote on the combined budget.

The schools here get about 2/3 of entire money collected. It would be much easier to say NO to an over bloated school budget. Plus the schools get more than that. A friend pointed out something to me one day , that there are costs on the the town budget like maybe a new roof on a school or maintenance of those buildings or even debt for improvement on school buildings. It almost makes them get 3/4 of the entire revenue for the year. The schools are hiding some stuff on the town budget.

The town budget only spends about 1% - 2% on road repair. I would love to take 1%-2% more for much better roads from the school budget. I bet a LOT of taxpayers here would agree.

But , noooooo. The schools are too greedy. You could give them 100% of all the taxes collected , but they would want more.

$285M Midland Public Schools bond fails by a landslide in May election. Like a bad case of the clap, the woke Commies will try a different approach so it’ll come back around again because they hate to accept NO!

The schools here are real greedy and pull some real shady stuff to con taxpayers out of money.
Two towns away from here , that school system wanted a brand new high school. They claimed the current one was old , outdated , needing much repair including very expensive boiler replacement. Supposedly a new high school would be cheaper to maintain. Voters approved it. After the new high school was built , they still had the old one but claimed to be ' transferring ' to the new school. They were ' transferring ' for 3 years. Then they convinced the voters that they needed the old high school to split the student body with the younger kids going to the old school and the older kids to the new high school.

Having your cake and eating it too.

Then down the road they hosed taxpayers again for all those repairs the old school needed including new boilers.

If a budget fails here they just re-package it and send it up for another vote, then threaten that if it doesn't pass they'll have to go on austerity, which is the amount they really needed anyway..or threaten they'll take busing away so mom has to drive the kids to school...that usually gets it done. The school board is in cahoots cause they're either teachers from another district or have family that are teachers...the amount of salary for teachers is obscene, salary for administration is obscene on steroids......"but it's for the children". Who are getting dumber every year....you don't want to know the tax bill here.... Same here Also, this is a vacation/retirement area. School referendums are always timed for when many of the taxpayers are gone for the winter. The renters in Town with kids carry the vote.

OK $15 per child per hour (7hr days), 20 kids per class, 5 days a week, 39 weeks of the year . . . $400K Overpaid admin i can stand behind
