Like sliding on an old, comfy pair of slippers, I look forward to each issue that arrives in the mailbox monthly. Most stories don't apply to me, but I enjoy reading them all. I save each chapter of the continuing stories until I have the full "book", then sit down some evening and read them all. I see there's a new chapter in this one

This magazine was about all I had back in the 60s. No trapper ed, no you tube videos, just sneaking peeks at others' sets and making it up as I went.

Wrote two articles and had them published, both in the late 80s I believe. Received a hundred dollars for the first one. Was neat to see the by line

Anyway, here's to FFG and may they last another hundred years. [Linked Image]

100% one of my first subscriptions back in the 70s. Like OP said, one of the only sources for info back then.

Very well put Muskrat! I've got copies back to the early sixties. I too open each new copy with the anticipation of a young boy again. This one had some outstanding articles about both past and present times. Thankyou FFG!!

The current editor wrote a short article at the beginning of this month’s magazine. In it he said, “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.”

Back in the early 70's I was checking out the Fur-Fish-Game's out of my school library and drooling over the market reports. I remember reading an article about how to catch beaver and followed the instructions and caught two out of three traps my first night.

Hooked!

Back in the mid 80s when I got the trappin bug a month was too long. By the time a new FF&G could be delivered I had read the last one cover to cover 3 or 4 times.

Nice celebration issue. My first readings of that magazine were from our HS library in 1962. Have ordered it every year since 1980.

i had seen some advertisements in Sports A Field Magazine for FFG. Also E.J. Daily lures, Butcher lures .etc. It was around 1976 when I subscribed to the magazine. A Great magazine for the realistic and practical outdoorsman. I started trapping using methods I had read about in the articles written by other trappers. I was 14 years old at the time.

I've been submitting articles to FFG for a few years, and finally got one published. How cool to be published in the 100 year anniversary issue! The article turned out better than I thought it would, and now it makes me want to do it again. The article is titled "Go First Class At Least Once", and I'm pretty proud of it.
Thanks,
Jim

It's a great magazine. My wife always renews my subscription as a Christmas present.

I haven’t missed an issue coming in the mail since 79. It’s just a part of who I am now. Love the magazine.
