My youngest has out grown his youth stock and dthe only stocks i can fins are wood laminated or chassis that will be heavy and are 2 to 400$. At the high end point i will opt to just buy a new cz 457.

I would prefer the cheaper light synthetic so it's light and don't have to worry about bug spray taking the finish off.
Had i known they would have discontinued the 455 i would have bought the adult stock when I picked up the gun. Hind sight.

If anyone has a take off they up graded sitting around or someone that may or best place to look i would appreciate it.

Is it a wood or plastic stock on the gun? If it's wood ,that can be made longer easily. I used to do that work for folks all the time, if it's plastic maybe you can take and cut off from the butt how much you need from another take off stock, and glue and dowel it together, outa work I would think worth a try and something you and your son can do together

Wife is now missing critical parts to accomplish that task, I don't have any interest in any others, won't be adopting had enough of that raising my adopted brother and sisters. Best I can hope for are grand kids hopefully at least a decade in the future.

Yes I have been looking at new rifles. Most .22s are fairly inexpensive after all. Typically the scores cost more than the guns. Today he took my favorite beat up savage. In the morning he will take that again or his sisters 10/22 his pick. If I had no taken th scope off for something else I suspect he would be using my 39 a.

I saw some old model 60s And 10n22s I think he would like along with a cz 457 and savage bolt and semiautomatic. .

But like my 15 year old when I asked him if he wanted a new gun or to restock his his answer was the same. He has shot and hunted with his so much he would like to keep hinting with it and picked new stock over new gun. I just can't find the stock im looking for.

Not a light synthetic but found this on gun broker with the cut out im thinking it may be light enough. He liked how it looked at least on line. Its used was asking $100 but had a make offer spot and I offered $80 and they took it. Tax and shipping
brought it to 106 and change. Last I saw new they were a little over 200. Packed in the box box and all was under 4.5 lbs shipping weight should be here in about a week.

You are correct. Last time I checked to see color options the place had more options and they were 210. IF BOYDS has fre shipping I saved $83 buying it used. More if they don't have free shipping. Considering I dont know if he is going to like it the cheaper option wins with me every time.

It showed up and I had enough time before work to get the swap done. Its kind of ugly I think but he likes it and the way the vertical stock feels and its light. Most importantly it fits him

edit
Apparently it was just in time. Just noticed a txt from my son that he shot 7 possum tonight. Now I saw the txt after he went to bed but guessing he took them out with the rifle in the new stock.

Then again maybe with something else.
