I've been reading it since the early 60's when my dad had a subscription and have had it ever since. I've had two articles published in the 80's. Looking back, they weren't that good but probably ok for the times.

Trapperjim1- I read your article last night and really enjoyed it. Makes sense since none of us is getting any younger.


57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

Ffg ALWAYS has something that everyone can relate to.. the magazine for practical outdoorsmen!!
I don’t remember if it was 1986 or 1987 when I first spied the magazine on the magazine rack… but I definitely was a reader after 1987 … I’ve got pretty much every issue from 1992…. Much to the dismay of my wife. lol.
She asks me why I still keep them and I say “ reference material “
