That’s not virtue signaling… but ok.

Just don’t see how her being attractive or not or being a keeper or not has anything to do with anything.

Just a lady who won.

He could have just said… lady wins python competition. Way to go.

I have a friend who has a large reptile food business. He says this about women who keep reptiles too. He must like crazy because he keeps going from one to another. He's had more baby mama drama then I would ever want to deal with. My advice to him was to try to find a nice former Amish woman.

Well my daughter is 23 lpn and breeds ball pythons, and feeder mice. Also had several tank pit to get her like zoo exhibits but up with plants and multi species like dart frogs and some little lizard type things. I know she has two different species of dart frogs, and 3 or so other typed of todes and frogs.

She is definitely different But in an impressive and enjoyable to be aroundn way not crazy. Well maybe some crazy doing what she does at work and having the ability to enjoy it. I sure hope I have someone that cares like she does when I'm at my end of life care home.

You want punishment date a hairdresser. They are all nuts. ( Mom is one and owned 3 salons over the years so I grew up around lots of them). Large benefit is girls spend a lot of time in hair salons with hair, nails, and tanning. So always had a continuous selection available.

They are killed. Just a specified way it's to be done for both PR and not have yahoos running around popping off shots at anything that moves.

It has to be in hand and iirc they use a bolt gun to scramble the brain.

That's no fun at all. Heck I learned how to shoot by shooting snakes, turtles, and such.

I doubt it would b worse than deer season in some places. Just smaller gun. PR is definitely more important than the ecosystem

I just figure it is a publicity stunt and to try get people to watch it. Just putting a bounty on them and have people bring them or a part of them, in dead makes a lot more sense. And don't they have hunting seasons down there? What is the difference between yahoos shooting at deer or turkeys, or coons or hogs at night and snakes?

I note that was a Fox News story and the lady winner was given credit for all the photos posted. Smells of publicity stunt to me.

Anyway, here is a bit more info.........this from Florida fish and game. The actual Python Challenge website utterly worthless.

https://myfwc.com/news/all-news/python-challenge-winners-825/

So in 10 days, 934 participants managed to catch 294 snakes? Not even a drop in the bucket........more like a single drop in the entire Everglades. All python challenges combined have snagged 1,400 snakes, and as it turns out, most of those are caught crossing a road.

They are not serious about getting rid of them.

Interesting. Yet it does corroborate that Taylor Stanberry was the top prize winner with 60 snakes. Pretty remarkable for either a man or a woman.

So she caught more than a fifth of all the snakes caught. That's pretty good.

Wasn't there a post on here about the anti's protesting a bear hunt in Florida?
PR or not, there's always some anti something going to protest.

In response to Horse people, bird people, cat people or reptile people;

Sorry but DOG people are the craziest and I speak from sixteen years experience!!
They walk in with a stool sample (every time) and shout “hey I got a present for ya!!” Or this one is great…poor dog is all nervous trotting into the clinic and pees itself and they say “ohh HE KNOWS where he is! Soon as we pulled into the parking lot he was getting crazy!”

Pull into any area and stop the car and your dog will perform same function.especially if you don’t give him a potty break before bringing him into the facility.

God I’m about done with vet med!! laugh

It's been proven that dogs smell and react to the fear pheromones released by other dogs. Fear even makes their hair loosen, so that it pulls out easier.

Beyond any doubt.

Then there’s the inevitable call from someone who wants to “help” an injured wild animal.
That’s a topic for a whole new thread.

There is, or at least used to be, a pigeon rescue cal!ed Mickapoo. They once asked people to donate over $6000.00 to pay for titanium bones for a feral pigeon found under a bridge. They got it plus more. That's insane.

My labs live to ride along to the bank! And the tellers really enjoy seeing them and giving them treats.

They're not too bad at the vet. The old male hates getting shots and I have to keep a firm grip on him but the female doesn't care, she's always pretty chill.

You probably don't get many horses or birds.

My wife's handle on our family chat is literally "Crazy Bird Lady." LOL

She breeds and sells budgies and has taken over an entire room of our house. It's actually quite the side hustle. She ships them all over the Country.
