Great movie. I loved both that and "Where The Red Fern Grows". Got to a point where I had owned enough good dogs and had to take them for the last walk, don't care to watch or read either one anymore.

Both great down to earth honest movies!

Lost a few good dogs myself, but always remember the awesome times we had, not so much their demise .
Strange, I could block out a lot even at a very young age.
Everyone wanted me to take their puppies and kittens to the pound.

My oldest girl is 3, calling it a night after yeller saved mom from the wolf was likely the right call for now I think.

Maybe, they are very young, just wonder if they could understand the real aspect of the movie.
They say kids learn more in the first 5 years of their life than the rest of their lives.
They're like a sponge at that age.
