The bar in town has been closed for a couple years. It was purchased and re-opened as a coffee shop in the mornings and a bar in the evening. They are friends of my bride so we stopped in last night. $3.50 for a beer and $7 for a margarita. Guess I hadn't been to a bar for awhile. I drink at home and a beer costs from 73 cents to 93 cents depending on where it comes from.

Couldn’t tell you. Last time I went I just paid the lady when she brought the tab. Not like I was going to say no thanks your beer is expensive. Everyone knows it’s cheaper to drink at home.

But, like Nessy says. Beer at a sports game is insane. Gotta pre-game that one in the parking lot out of principle.

Next time I’m out I’ll check. Same with gas at the gas station. What am I going to do? Not buy it! Nah. Cost of doing business. Maybe I should look at the price of stuff.

Those prices do sound cheap though. $3.5 for a beer and $7 for a margarita. Seems reasonable to me.

Stop over cooking your meat! It isn’t gamey, it’s over cooked!

I better not complain. Alaska is where I got my first $5 hamburger. Obviously not recently. 12 years ago actually

3 bucks in town is the norm

used to have a 2 dollar bar but it sold

as you get up Madison or MKE way 6 bucks and up

makes it real hard to order a beer out , when you can get a 30 rack for 19 at the Kwik Trip

anyone else tried Pabst Light? I like it , a little change up from the Miller lite I have been drinking.

3.5 carbs vs the 3.2 of Miller light but a few bucks less and it's good

I know light beer , but it beets no beer

and you get 5 light/lite beers to the slice of bread

15-21 carbs per slice of bread

Kinda stuck on Miller Lites. I am not a calorie counter, but I like cold suds in bulk.

Depending on what you order, at the only bar near me, beers are $3.50 to $7.50 each, to much in my opinion.

calories are the same 96 and Miller lite is definitely my daily

I was not a lite beer drinker , but at 41 type 2 diabetic so now if I want beer I either have to have very little or make it lite.
I am able to control it without injecting insulin and I would like to keep it that way for as long as I can.

GCP I've had Pabst light and I actually think it's a good beer. I'm not a big beer guy but it's better than anything else I've had. I got a 30 pack at Kwik Trip because they had 50 cents a gallon off on fuel so it made it pretty cheap. Didn't think I'd care for it but was surprised. I read that it's made with different hops than regular PBR so maybe that's why. When I normally drink beer which is rare it's regular Miller or Coors.

I think at the bars here it 3 to 4 bucks a can. I rarely go to a bar unless it's to eat.

We had some Germans visiting for work, and one of our guys orders a Blue Moon beer, which comes with an orange slice.

One of the Germans says, "Fruit in ze beer, fruit in ze man!"

About $3.00-$4.00 a can at the bar here depending on brand, but like some have said I haven't been in a bar for a long time. When I came home from service the service (61) most beer was .25 and higher brands .30, times have changed. If I need beer now I go to Walmart Keystone Light $14.95 for a 30 pack that lasts me a long time. Not like the old days!

I have no clue. Never be a big drinker especially out when I would need to drive( at least in the last decade) Don't drink at all now. The carb cutting cut the occasional beer I used to enjoy. Since I prefer darker beer no point in any of the light lower carb water down stuff.

its around $4-$5.
I never go into a bar just to have a beer.
I'm there to get a meal.
I like one really good beer with a meal.

If it costs more so be it, its one of the pleasures in life that I'm willing to spend for.

Miller now makes an Extra Lite, Now I do not consider lite beers to be real beers, But if you are looking for a low carb adult thirst quencher, this is it.

Smoking bans closed a lot of bars I believe. Or at least seemed to hear about a lot of closings at about the same time. Then covid finished a lot more off.

We had a place that when they made the smoking ban, they became a private club.

Since they weren’t included in the ban, only public establishments.

Had to pay a $1 membership fee, got a membership card and everything was good for one year. Had to show your card to get in. Lol

LOL Haven't been in a bar in over 30 years.
So have no idea.
I do know they get it at half what you pay in a store though, and charge as much as they can.
Sports events are a shame.

I don't do bars that much at all , just drinks with food.

There was this good Chinese buffet place real close to my house. I went there a lot. They closed just as the pandemic started. In business over 20 years.
Just before they closed you could get beer for $1 with a meal purchase. Budweiser , Sam Adams , Heineken , Sapporo and couple more types , just $1 a bottle. Almost cheaper than a liquor store. Plus they had the typical Chinese themed cocktails like zombie , mai tai , scorpion bowls in the little budda glasses or a coconut , with the little umbrella for just $5 each.

It was cheap even back then. Now ? Forget it.
I miss that place , good food , well run , clean.
