Hello trappers! I’m wanting to go do some marten trapping in the uintahs this season. I’ve done some research and it seems like they’re up there but there’s not tons of them. Anyone done any trapping up there? Not looking for specific locations or sets, just wondering how people have done up there.

Probably should just give it a shot and look for tracks if there's snow.

Martin were introduced in the Uintah's about 12 years or so ago, at the time there was no trapping after them, I believe there is now, but have not ever seen one from here, probably a tight limit on them

You should check out the Utah Division of game and into the trapping rules as well it's pretty well spelled out what's trapped and not !

Yep I’ve looked into it and they’re pretty picky about how you set up your traps for them.
