So looking forward to Christmas trying to get a head start on it, I was looking at monthly subscription to baseball card boxes? My son collects cards, baseball, football, basketball even has a pretty good collection of Pokémon. But is in to baseball more so, I know we have a bunch of collectors on here and thought maybe if someone did this type of thing on here could give me a good advice on a website that can be ordered from. Maybe one that can mix match between sports would be great as well.

You can buy baseball, football, basketball and Pokémon cards cheaply on www.shopgoodwill.com

I bought my youngest niece and nephew thousands of Pokémon cards off of there, a few years ago, for Christmas. Some of the cards list at a few hundred dollars each, according to my nephew.

Don't buy boxes. Buy individual graded cards. Why not shop local ? You might be surprised and get a better deal buying face to face.

Where the fun in that unless you're looking for specific cards?

Course if you really want something random that holds value and practical for a sub box, go to battlbox or tacpack. Battlbox more for camping/survival . Tacpack is more tactical/gun(AR accessories and tools). Both tend to send knives(good ones) a few times a year.

You can always take it up a notch and send their favorite player card to the stadium with an autograph request. Make sure you keep a copy of the letter too.

Not really looking for a specific card, the thrill of what you may get. No where in our town you can buy a card, Walmart doesn't even sell packs anymore

You local might not but many still do.Mainly depends on the size and theft issues. Theft of trading cards is bad. The company I work for used to put them out. They have to be locked up even in the backroom. Which is a sore point for me because my company shares that room and have to get a manager to unlock it everytime I need something.

I am going to post one more time because you are not a collector to help you understand if you don't already know. Buying box sets is like going to McDonald's. You enjoy it for a short time but the next morning you have nothing left of value. IF you want to buy something that MAY increase in value then you should try to buy graded cards. One suggestion is to take your son to a sports card show for a day. I am sure with some research you could find one. Maybe fly to one if you can't find one to drive to.
