Coyotes

Have trapped everything this state has to offer over a lifetime of trapping with the exception of wolf. At different times I could have easily answered that question. Now in my mid seventies, the one I'm after that particular day is my favorite.

What ever steps on the pan. We set for bobcats, but also catch coyotes, fox, raccoon, badger, kit fox, even beaver when trapping around beaver dams. Variety is "as they say" the spice of life.

Savell You are cruel, they are beautiful, nice put up and every thing = congratulations. But my favorite is wolverine and there must be on within 500 miles of here. Heck I hane never even seen a pelt of one.......jk Mink really

In my other life in NY I really enjoyed beaver through the ice. Here it would be the occasional Lion.

Coyotes

Red and Gray fox. They are just so pretty bouncing around in a snare on fresh snow. Second would be mink.

That's a hard one. I like trapping most things. (Beaver, not so much). If I had to pick just one... it would be fox. But, I also really enjoy otter, muskrat, coyote, cat.

If I lived in a Marten area I would venture that would be my response as well. Since I am a prairie trapper coyotes and cats all day.

Love to catch coyotes……. skinning them not so much

I love spring rat trapping.
But I enjoy coyote trapping and especially snairing.

I like to trap it all. Coyote probably gives me the biggest headache and it becomes a game, and I hate to loose.

Open water rat trapping in a marsh full of huts is about as much fun as you can have with your clothes on.
Otter are a close second for me because we have a lot of them.

I really enjoy the perfume smell of a muskrat when you blow it dry with an air compressor before you skin it.
That's the first animal I trapped as a kid, so that really sticks with me like it was a few years ago instead of 50 something years ago.
