We made it up to Alaska, planned on it in 2020 but of course covid hit.
Had a great trip, and sure did put some miles on the rental car. [Linked Image]

A good year for the Salmon up there, at least according to some reports I’ve seen.

A trip of a lifetime, that's for sure! Thanks for the pictures!

Being old is when you don't care where your spouse goes, just a long as you don't have to go too.

Hey Chad looks like you and your wife had a great time. Great pics. Enjoy next weekend, my nephews getting married and I can’t make it. They need to move it back to September!

Thanks Les , yes we had a great trip.
And yes September would be alot better, I never wanted August in the first place.
Just to cater to the bow hunter's, that never show up anyway.

Have fun at the wedding

I really enjoyed the Dredge and panning tour, I've panned before but 30 some years ago.
After doing it again I want to start again. Was good when I lived in the black hills.
I had 2 pans with about the same amount of gold and it's worth over $40.00

Some more, the last homesteader, a old log home now museum, and the Tanana river.
I'll have to be retired but we will go back, I want to drive up next time.

We covered a lot of the same area. I was up there from July 22 to August 3rd traveled through Delta Junction to North Pole then to Fairbanks. Spent a few days chasing grayling on the Chena then back to Anchorage to pick up an RV and the rest of my group then most of my time at Cooper Landing fishing the Sockeye run which was phenomenal. I took a day trip to Homer on my last day. My 8th trip to Alaska since 2016, I absolutely love that state. Already planning for next year.

I went up there for the first time June of 2009. Took a helicopter ride up to a Glacier just off of Mount McKinley, also known as Denali. And asked my wife to marry me. The pilots were in on it and had a bottle of champagne for us and the other couple. I told her I felt like I was on top of the world. She said yes.

Can someone haul me 9 healthy, live reindeer down to KS? LOL I will pay you enough for your trouble. We need Santa's reindeer and there is nothing like robbery when looking to buy reindeer from a reindeer "farm" and then you see the native reindeer herders with 100s of them and think man they are missing the market.
