On the original topic yes it’s good that people are being found to give people closure, also they can find other things that have been hidden there for years.

I'm kicking this back to the top because I just saw a news feed that revealed marine geologists just mapped over 300 giant canyons under Antarctica that were unknown to Science until very recently...

Because of new developments in penetrating radar mapping. Also, you might be interested to know glaciers flow like a slow river until they get to an elevation where they melt. They been giving up their dead long before anyone preached global warming.

It proves that we don't know what we don't know about the Earth's functionality. I'll post a link to the article in a couple days. It mentioned that these canyons could effect ocean currents, glacial melting...

and we didn't even know about them until recently, let alone how they function or (could possibly) affect our climate.

I'd bet those vaunted climate models that you place so much faith in didn't account for them...

just what do you suppose the conditions were when they got ded? just what do you suppose covered them up? so If they are just now being exposed, then conditions must be the same as when got lost.

I wonder if scientists were freaking out when those canyons were being covered by glaciers. GLOBAL COOLING!!! I mean..CLIMATE CHANGE..
