I’m in the process of cleaning out my old truck so l can get it hauled off and scrapped.
I have been pulling out junk for the last hour and behind the drivers seat l found a box of different hot sauces from 5 Christmas’s ago and ……..

5 jars of James Lucero’s lure !!!!!!!!!!!
Holy Moly! How in the wide, wide world of rednecks did l forget about that???
Savell would tell me to start drinking heavily, (cold beer not the lure)

I have a 4 oz. jar of Winter Wolf
1 4 oz. jar of Coyotero
1 4oz. jar of JL #1
2 2oz. jars of JL #1

I’m hoping someone is familiar enough with his lures that you can tell me if they are gland lures, curiosity or food lures and the best usage of them at a set.
It doesn’t say on the labels, but Winter Wolf if l recall was a gland lure, but the others l don’t have a clue any more.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There's an old snapshot of the list I had.

Thank you Silky unfortunately Not even his lure list says anything
about the type of lure it is.

Nice Find LS !
The coyotes will be sorry you made that discovery!

I’ve found that no specific set/lure/attactant pairing has done any better than the other.
You hear a lot of "gland lure with this set", & "food lure with that set". The same applies to attractant combinations.
Step outside that restrictive mindset and you will catch a lot more coyotes.
I can tell you from my extensive use with those specific lures it doesn’t matter to Wile E. one bit.
The bottom line is top shelf lures like Mr. Lucero’s kill coyotes no matter what the look is.
It really doesn’t matter what combo you use. Just put them to work.

Mr. Lucero's three lures continue to be my best producers.
I pitted his lures against a long list of heavy hitters over and over again.
JL#1, Coyotero, & Winter Wolf have consistently produced more coyotes and cats on my line.
