I didn't know that. Just looked them up and it said a division of Woodstream in PA. Just figured it was all one company with the Victor name. Learn something new on here all the time

Oneida Victor is/was run by the Butera's. It was split off from the larger company back in the 90s. The mouse trap company, woodstream, also makes the havahart traps
BMI traps were made in the same factory as the Oneida Victor traps. The History of Victor is an interesting one that goes back to the 1800s and the Oneida commune. Weird group

I am pretty sure you will never see them made again. They are getting rid of all the left over odds and ends on facebook. They are very hard to get ahold of by email or phone.

I feel like someone at the MN convention or FTA convention said the rights of Sleepy Creek were purchased. Wanting to produce in the USA but worried the price would be too steep after factoring in production and labor costs. Could be hearsay/ You likely heard me say that. The fellow that owns it now had told me that he wanted steel prices to come down so he could sell the traps at what he felt was a reasonable price point.

Could be hearsay/ Southern snares bought the company.. when covid hit I think that roomed that project.

That is just depressing to hear. Not saying they ran it the way you need to obviously, but more on the fact that many including myself grew up with that name and so to see it go away sucks. Be nice if someone bought them and or similar like B & L and started making long springs too again. I had hoped Sleepy Creek would make them again, but that I have given up on now too. Yes, it is sad so many brands of traps are no longer. I think back about how inexpensive and plentiful they use to be, every fur and supply house had stacks of them. I can still remember one time buying 14 dozen new in the carton Victor 1.5 jumps for less than $30 a dozen.

They sure made one HECK of a trap!
