A local farmer is having some bear trouble on an oat field. The local warden signed off on the hunt. So I'm sitting in a comfortable chair in the shade just relaxing and listening to nature. My six year old is sitting next to me whittling on a stick to keep quiet, says if the bear charges he's going to knife him. Just a really enjoyable night. Hope you all are having a good evening yourselves.

No bear tonight. We'll be back at tomorrow night. The old thermocell kept the mosquitos at bay until the walk out.

We are back out here watching for bear. I've got two boys with me tonight. Skeeters are definitely worse and the wind isn't quite the direction I want, but it's better than being at home or working.

Do you remember a couple years ago when he came running past your table at the Bemidji gun show? I had to hand a gun to your mom quick so I could thump the boy. He's matured a bit since then. He wants to come see you again, he keeps talking about "The trapping convention at Rob's house".
