Just slap some bond-o in there. Figured any body guy worth their salt would know that, LOL.

I's be getting someone in to inspect the foundation.

You might want a gutter and downspout
guy first. Then maybe a drainage guy.
Water caused this.

You need to investigate if it is a structural crack of just a shrinkage crack. Shrinkage crack will be mostly cosmetic and a little grinding and filler, good as new. If Structural, you will need to find the cause and fix that.

Just the right amount of whelm.

What I would do if water was coming in... dig down on the outside. Grind the crack so its like a V. CAULK with good caulk. Silicone is not good caulk. NP-1, quad or Vulcrum...spelling?? BIG FAT BEAD then I'd backfill with lots of 1 to2 inch clean stone. Then I'd do the same on the inside minus the stone. they also make something where you drill a hole and put a thing in and it releases foam. MEH Gutters and proper drainage are always good problem solvers

Vinyl Patch is a great product for fixing concrete. That's what we used to fix small cracks in walls when I did commercial concrete work for 3 1/2 years. If there's a problem that caused the crack, such as drainage issues, you need to fix them first.

Use water stop or hydraulic cement. Work it in good. I've sealed several manholes that won't pull vacuum.

I am not a concrete guy ,but my grandfather was a very good mason an taught me a couple things.

like diggerman said investigate , but if it hasn't spread in years , diamond wheel grind a bit more out like you are making a bevel for a multi pass weld

then you brush on some latex bonding agent mix your mortar a little thick with some bonding agent think sort of like stiff peaks in a meringue so that you can get peaks no slump in your mortar , and use your trowel to hold your mud and you work it into the crack with the tuck pointing trowel packing it in to fill everything you can , start low work up

then run over it you want a little build up over the crack/joint like a nice heavy bead of weld

just as it is starting to look like it is drying some , with a horse hair masons brush , you wet it and brush back and forth and it works it smooth rewet and keep working it , you want to not get back into the crack , just get it smooth. you can get a very nice finish that way.

America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.
