I’ve got two little fledglings in a nest on my balcony. Momma dove has been very attentive to them! Tonight she is hanging out on a warm flagstone in the yard cooing to them. I wonder if she is trying to get them to emerge from the nest? She’s sitting about ten feet from me. Is this normal? Anyone know? She seems fine.

The ones that frequent our yard are pretty chill. They let my 2 English setters make really close points on them.

We regularly have one or the pair sit on the deck railing at the apartment. They sun themselves for a hour or so, unless disturbed by the neighborhood children playing baseball or just being kids on the apartment greenspace.
