I really enjoy sitting in my chair and watching the hummingbirds. They're migrating through right now, so there's more competition...more fights.

That fact may actually play a big role in our decision on where to retire someday. Headed down this winter to scout it out.

Have you had the cooler weather moving through, and is it cold enough that the hummingbird’s might move out?

Cooled off pretty good here last night and today but still have a bunch of birds on the feeders, I kinda expect them to be gone any day though.

Many are moving pass the 49th parr now. These are ones from 55*N and beyond. Some years there are some Rufous hummingbirds as these loop over into the high artic to nest in the summer and come down into the Eastern USA over winter.
It is always worth watching for Rufous now
