Just plain good fun I’ll have to say although a little on the intrusive side.i had an elevated psi level about 4.1 I believe and that led to a mri showing a spot on my prostate.Scheduled the biopsy and just got some good news, don’t have to go back for 6 months.Doing a little research in 5-10 years it may turn into cancer but I should be around for awhile, lol

No- first they stick this footlong hotdog looking thing up towards your prosate if you know what I’m saying then you get 8-10 shots of novacane followed by a biopsy needle taking 4 biopsies like 6-8 times. Most of them weren’t to horrible but about 3 sent me through the roof.Talking to the nurse afterwards she said they don’t like putting people under for such a short procedure and it ends up being a lot of money out of pocket for patients.I would definitely pay a couple thousand to not have to go through that.

Yeah the two cousins I actually talk to had theirs taken out also.I have talked to a couple people that caught it early and had the radioactive seeds put in with great results.

Feels like a rubber band snapping in that area...

Same exact experience here, but my PSA dropped from 6 two years ago, to 4 now. I haven't lost one minutes sleep over it.

my psa kept going up very 6 months, had biopsy every 6 months for two years, finally doctors office mess up and gave me a psa two months in a roll, my psa double in that month, so they send me to a specialist and they put me under a took 28 biopsy, and 5 percent of one had cancer, it was the worst type , so they plan on surgery the next month, while I was waiting I had a mini stoke, so they waited 5 months, in that time the whole prostate was cancer and they thought it got out, but it didn't, I'm telling you all this so that you all keep a check on your prostate 8 out of 10 men will get prostate cancer!!!!!!!,

I had elevated PSE tests, 12 years ago Dr wanted to operate and remove, I got another opinion. Had 42 radiation treatments followed by 6 chemo treatments. I have been clear , yearly pse blood tests . Glad I didn't have it removed. You lose control of your bladder functions, Get your yearly pse blood tests done, Good Luck old243

For those of you with prostate concerns, me included, you should borrow or buy the book, “ Finding Fenbendazole”. One man’s journey through this mess with a positive outcome.
