Our sheriffs department has issued a statement saying that farmers need to keep an eye out on their livestock..been lots of livestock stolen around here. Feeders and dairy cattle have been stolen. Are you guys seeing this stuff in your neighborhood??

In the past. Their m.o. was to let the herd out as if they escaped while they loaded what they could on the trailer. Only later on was any noticed missing. Brilliant really

High as cattle is it will get worse

Had a new born calf get snatched out of a neighbors pasture. Momma cow kept going to one spot where it was presumed the rustlers crossed the fence. Neighbor found a wallet laying there. Turned over to the police. Not sure what all came of it, but they got the calf back.

I'm surprised it isn't more common, don't even need a trailer, just chunk em up and toss in back of a pickup Being armed and shootin in any pasture I am supposed to be watchin might make me fear for my life.

$1,800 for cattle here that adds up quick if you can load and go, it happens here we have brand inspectors here that deal with that. East River no brands required West River is brand country.
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Sold a horse to SD a few years ago and the guy was talking about East River/West River , I couldn't figure out were the dividing line was. For a non native where's the line?
