It's a automatic jar vacuum sealer.

Do they work well? Could it take a place of pressure pot?? Can you seal liquids?

No... it does not take the place of a pressure canner or water bath canner. All this does is remove air from the jars... used for sealing dried goods, or things like fresh fruit or berries (kept in the fridge) so they last longer. It doesn't preserve anything... just a vacuum sealer.

Proudly banned from the NTA.

Bother me tomorrow. Today I'll buy no sorrows.

Thanks. Seen a video and figured that was the case but, the video kind of misleading.

My mom uses one for dry goods. Long term storage you either need to freeze it or do normal canning processes, pressure/hot water

Pressure canning and water bath are for preserving as the heat kills off botulism and salmonella. The vacuum just ensures the lid is sealed against stuff coming and going, basically traps what is already in the jar, and lowers the oxygen content.

I have one for sealing dehydrated or freeze-dried foods. Works well for what it is intended for.
