I did a Snake River Farms Waygu Bavette steak (aka flap steak or bottom round steak) on cast iron. Top photo is off the griddle done to 115* ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/09/full-3536-267977-img_2025_09_01_191223.jpeg) This photo is the leftover steak sliced thin & cold just before a quick sear in a cast iron skillet for supper tonight. It’s clearly obvious why Waygu is so succulent.

Seldom, That Waygu looks amazing. I bet it melts in your mouth.
Jalstat, I can taste that Pork belly just from looking at the picture!

Jalstat, I can taste that Pork belly just from looking at the picture! I can show photos of off the grill Waygu to my 2 east coast stepdaughters but not the cold leftovers! They both are absolutely terrible about eating fat! They will cut away all visible fat from beef and pork. It is almost painful to watch but if they can’t see it, they love it! LMAO! What they can’t see apparently can’t plug up their arteries! LMAO! They really have no idea what they’ve been eating when they come to visit! Mums the word!

Went to a neighborhood family cookout/pool party at one of my buddies.
Ribs, brisket, bacon wrapped venison loin, bacon wrapped lamb, fresh steelhead, pork tenderloin, pasta salad, watermelon, cheesy potatoes, mac n cheese, scotcharoos and plenty of beer and booze for dessert.
