No way are there as many slow decision makers behind the wheel as what I’m seeing lately.

I can agree with that. I am on the road daily and I see that far too often then I would like too.

I guess it could be the phone thingy but it’s hard to believe it’s that many.

I guess some of them could be smoked up. lol

between the phones and their drugs , and other distractions , it seems to be getting very bad.

Proven fact -

Intelligent people drive faster , dumb people drive slower.
It all has to do with how quickly your brain processes information and making decisions quickly.

As I get older I go slower. Just not in a hurry. I think that is smarter than what used to be. Do I think slower? Probably! I know I am to old to die young. If you tailgate me and I am doing the speed limit I might speed up but if you continue, I will slow back down. Hate tailgaters!

We ain’t talking travel speeds here. This is all about decision making at highway entrances, 4 way stops, traffic signals, turns etc.

I have no trouble merging onto highways, turning at 90 degree angles, using a signal, braking appropriately. But I do drive rather slowly. I think I do everything somewhat slower and deliberately.
I’m a gentle sort of folk….either that or I’m just tired 24/7…

But do you have to hold up your hands in front of you, backs of hands towards you, pointer finger up, and thumb out, to tell Left from Right???

No but I do have to recite 30 days hath September April June and November…and so on…to figure out how many days in each month

When I was around 2 or 3 I remembered J was right. I was in college and someone mentioned learning their directions by L for left. I looked at my hands and realized I used a harder mnemonic, that made less sense, for years.
