so, the last two years, we have had early fall colors, well just the other day it was on the news that its, because of all the smoke fill days, they said that the apples are ripening a month early the trees are turning early, so do you guys think that the fur will prime up early??

I suppose if their internal clock thinks the sun is gone sooner it might….lol

well, it's been said that it's the amount of sun light that causes the fur to prime up , sooooo???

I don't know about the fur but local pumpkin farms are behind and my tomatoes and butternut squash suck this year. I blame Canada.

I don't think it's amount of sunlight, it's sunlight hours, so smokey or cloudy probably doesn't have any effect. They day's are sure getting shorther quick though!

The angle of the sun in relation to the species is also an impactor along with the others mentioned. Meletonin is created more during darkness and what impact that has impact on animal behavior, cycles and habits.

Summer time, suns way up over head at noon. Winter time suns way down above the southern horizon at noon. If the earths a sphere, this would mean less daylight hours in the end, but with some conspiracy fellas on here, I guess this might not hold any water.....lol

We should make all those darn Canucks pay us reparations. As part of those reparations they should give us Boco and other Boco like Canadians, to put up all of our fur.
