Remember the good ole days!

43" and 49.5". They was coiled up together, looked like a 55 gal drum full of snake.
And then I had to get in water.

Yeah David, I do remember. Been years since I've had to deal with one of those. Kinda miss it.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Are cottonmouths good to eat like rattlers are? I liked rattlesnake better than python. Both tasted good but the python was very chewy. It may have been overcooked.

I have eaten rattlesnake and rat snakes, but a cottonmouth is scum. One bit my lab and now all will pay for the sins of the one.
Canines do like them, they make good bait, but I aint gonna eat one.

I'd like to try almost every kind of animal, except primates and domestic dog.

I've ate snake....It's like stringy rubber in texture, and didn't have much taste.

The python I ate was like that. Most of the flavor was from the spices. Without spices it wasn't bad.

The rattlesnake had much better texture. It reminded me of a firm fried fish, while being still pretty tender. The flavor was somewhere between panfish and chicken.

I've heard rattlesnake is the best.....My boy scout troop ate a garter snake....One of the scoutmasters was a army ranger/survivalist who really took our troops adventures up a few notches, Lol.

I’ve had rattlesnakes several times and it is just as the above posters described. I’ll eat it again given the opportunity.

Eh...wot?

The rat snake was ok, not much meat on it.

Cooking snake is just like cooking frog legs.Too long in the hot oil and they become chewy. Doesn't bother me though. I just pretend that it is jerky and drink more beer with it.
