My son was down there a year ago and they shot a few. He said himself that they stunk so bad he didn't know how anyone could eat them. We have shot wild boar and they were fine.

I shot and ate a Javalina, is wild boar like that? I thought it was good but the locals thought I was goofy eating Javalinas and Jackrabbits.

If your can smell them before your can touch them not worth the effort making the table ready unless you really poor. There's some folks down here who can make the rankest ones tastes amazing but not worth it imo.
Also also of it seems to com from people not Killin them right seems every one I've dealt with that got (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) like a deer and was able to run and get all panicked the ones who DRT usually are alot better .. usually

they came through at 0445, deer and coons beat em to the groceries so they just kept on a moving.
